Casa Eminescu prezentată pe YouTube într-un video despre Mânăstirea Văratec. Apel la semnarea petiției

One of the most visited orthodox monastery for nuns in Neamț County, Romania, Văratec Monastery hosts up to 500 nuns and sisters living in a monastic village at 40 km north from Piatra Neamț. Mentioned in 1785 as a monastic settlement, the present ensemble, built at the middle of 19th century, includes: the main church, dedicated to the Assumption of the Virgin, the Transfiguration Church and Saint John the Baptist Church as well. The precints where the main church raises today incorporates a steeple and the chapel of Saint Nicholas, dwellings and workshops. The statue of Safta Brâncoveanu and a white marble crying angel carrying a cross, the symbol the monastic way of life, are two favorite subjects on which most of the visitors use to focus when taking pictures. Veronica Micle’s Grave (Saint John the Baptist Church) is another monument in Văratec Monastery which attracts a great number of tourists and pilgrims as a curiosity for her dramatic ending. Probably the most significant monument in Văratec Monastery is Mihai Eminescu’s House (Transfiguration Church). Unfortunately, the house where Romania’s greatest poet created and spent his last 15 summers hasn’t been declared a museum yet.
